SALARIED

  • 5 GCSEs at grade C or above including English, Maths and science
  • Degree classification of 2:1 or above preferred 2:2 considered
  • At least 2 weeks work experience in a classroom environment, however, applications will be considered even if this requirement is not met and this can be arranged prior to starting the course
  • Salaried programmes represent a significant commitment from the host school to fund training and salary and associated benefits such as pension contributions.  For this reason, schools will take care to select candidates who they feel have a level of maturity (irrespective of age) to operate as a responsible member of staff
  • Evidence at application of the ability to demonstrate a high standard of written English
  • Evidence at application of the ability to demonstrate a high standard of Maths
  • Successful completion of skills tests in English and Maths prior to commencement of course
  • Health and physical capacity to teach
  • An acceptable Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS)

non-salaried

  • 5 GCSEs at grade C or above including English, Maths and science
  • Degree classification of 2:2 or above
  • At least 3 years work experience
  • Evidence at application of the ability to demonstrate a high standard of written English
  • Evidence at application of the ability to demonstrate a high standard of Maths
  • Successful completion of skills tests in English and Maths prior to commencement of course
  • Health and physical capacity to teach
  • An acceptable Disclosure and barring Service check (DBS)
