Eligibility

Please note that all offers are conditional and subject to the satisfactory outcome of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and health check. These checks will be completed by the university with whom you complete your teacher training, if you are a tuition fee trainee, and by the school at which you complete your teacher training, if you are a salaried trainee.  

Salaried places represent a significant commitment from the host school to fund training, salary and associated benefits, such as pension contributions. For this reason, schools will take care to select candidates, who they feel have a level of maturity (irrespective of age) to operate as a responsible member of staff.

Non-UK Qualifications

Should you have completed any of the above qualifications overseas, then you may be asked to provide a statement of comparability prior to attending your interview. For further information, please visit the following websites:

GCSE Equivalency Tests

Should you not already hold a grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English language, maths or science (primary applicants only), then you will be required to sit a GCSE equivalency test. Teach Wimbledon accepts GCSE equivalency tests through the following providers:
